CityU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (CityU VDL) will soon be implementing a new assay for Zonisamide and Levetiracetam (Keppra®) determination.

Undertaking the new assays in Hong Kong will reduce the turnaround time of these tests. Internal preliminary analyses show that the new Zonisamide assay has good correlation (r = 0.98) with the original assay.

An announcement will be made once the CityU VDL finalizes the transition to the new assays. Until then, the turnaround time of these test result will be 7 and 11 days for Zonisamide and Levetiracetam (Keppra®), respectively.
